Psychologically shaking Azerbaijan diaspora, striking out its self-discipline are priority directions of Iran’s foreign policy

SA’s next target of their struggle against countries and terrorists producing nuclear weapons, and a lot of information spread around. Becoming a wide point of discussion of this problem at the authoritative international agencies and at the world press can be considered the initial stage of the realization of measures that USA planned for Iran. The revival of Azerbaijan diaspora during such processes, supporting of protest actions by the south wing of diaspora are the main problems disturbing the regime in this country.
The geopolitical position of Azerbaijan is explained by its location on the crossing point of North-South and East-West confrontation. That’s why there are a lot of forces trying to decide its fate according their wills. Iran-one of such forces is especially active from this standpoint. The officials of mentioned state try to use all methods to achieve their object. The main one of these methods is collaboration with Azerbaijan diaspora, the main part of its membership consisting of Azeri people from other side of Araz.
Nowadays it is obvious that Iran is frankly struggling against Azerbaijan. A lack of respect to our banner, setting a strong intelligence system in Baku and other regions, being on a target of economical objects, religious missionary, the oppressing of local waves by TV and radio channels that entered to the communicational system of the country, propaganda the Persian ideology by placing their people at scientific and educational spheres and hundreds of such facts obviously indicate Iran’s hate against our Republics.
So, Iran hasn’t made a step back from his policy of spreading the Islam revolution to the world, including Azerbaijan. They try to realize it by several ways. Propaganda work of Iranian devotes, financially providing underground groups, inveiglement into confidential cooperation and education at Iranian “medrese”s are included here.

Southern compatriots, who are considered political migrants, have begun forming the Azerbaijan diaspora together with Azerbaijanis from North Azerbaijan and Turkey. The Iranian officials are still keeping their pressure and influence on our southern compatriots for long years, in order to impede their quantitatively distinguished political activities. Just because of it Azerbaijan diaspora couldn’t achieve unanimity and solidity for a long time. Iranian regime, trying to make Azerbaijan diaspora an uncontrollable mass, began seriously activate in 1979-80, after The Iran Islam Revolution.
“Molla” regime is seriously perusing annihilation and falsification of Azerbaijanis richness such as national values, history, language, literature. This process is led in several directions, and willingly or not influences to the ideological directions and self-discipline of Azerbaijan diaspora. Generally there are several priority directions of Iran’s policy against Azerbaijan diaspora. First off all, humiliating Azerbaijanis as a Turk nation, especially introducing Turks as ignorant and lagged behind people are consistently realized policy. The main goal of this policy is forming national-psychological dislike on Azeri young’s. That’s why giving more superiority to the Persian history, language, music, and literature than the Turkish music, language, literature and history is a negative future of some members of Azerbaijan diaspora. Some of our southern compatriots, living abroad couldn’t know and assume our geniuses like Nizami, Fuzuli, Nesimi as their native poets, as they were cultivated under the influence of the poetry of Firdovsi and Sadi Shirazi, and this is the cause for apparent some void and problems on national-ideological thought.
Secondly, it’s clear to everybody that Armenians and Kurds possess great privileges in Iran. Armenians’ freely activities in Iran and getting a place of Kurd fraction at the Iran parliament has influenced to Azerbaijan diaspora. “Molla” regime, that have close relations with rich Armenian families such as Gulbekyan, Tufengyan, Gafaschyan, Kirkoryan ,doesn’t refrain from the cooperation with KLP.So Iran government tries to defend his interests exerting pressure on Azerbaijan diaspora by means of Armenians and Kurds.
Fundamentally falsification of our history can be considered the third factor. It’s clear that, every year ten thousands of Azerbaijanis think of the birthday of our historical hero Babek, marching to the Bazz Castle, situated on the Kaleyber Mountain in Ardabil province. The coming of abroad living Azerbaijanis there in order to participate at the marches is another serious problem of Iranian regime. In order to block up it, this regime, trying to introduce Babek as a godless and a blood-thirsted person, increased the edition of hundreds of books on this topic. Moreover, Iran, making hypotheses full of made up and slanders about other historical persons and monuments, benefits from the help of some intellectuals of the Azerbaijan diaspora. Azerbaijani is being assimilated, and Azerbaijanis having no right to education in their native language, forcefully learn Persian. All of these processes greatly influence to the mentality and psychology of our compatriots, leaving in South Azerbaijan and abroad. In every case, the dining of foreign language into brains can’t go without any influence.
Presenting Azerbaijan covers, handicrafts, jewelers, national meals, and other things as the examples of Persian culture plays an important role in this process. The very miserable, but at the same time a real side of this factor attracts us. When some of our southern compatriots were asked why they sell Tabriz covers, Ardabil kilims and our national meals in Hungary, presenting them as persian products, the answer was so: ” If we present them as the products of Azerbaijan, we can’t make a good trade. People don’t know Azerbaijan well here. As the name of Iran exotic and attractive, we are compelled to do so.” I think there is no need to explanation. The recent events revealed Iran’s policy breaking diaspor organizations. Iran government also wants to form the common organizations of Iranians living abroad. The majority of Iranians living abroad are Azerbaijanis. And in comparison with Persians most of them are more active. Naturally, they try to form a new organization by the help of Iran’s economical and political power. Iran is specially perusing the CWA’s activities. Molla regime does its best, not to let the CWA to strengthen and widen its activity, tries to break it into branches. Because,as I mentioned above ,Iran tries to form his diaspora net using financial resources of Azerbaijanis living abroad. They held meetings in the USA, in Turkey, in Sweden and they are going to hold the congress of Iranians living abroad in the nearest future.
The regime, trampling on the rights of our compatriots living in South Azerbaijan, widely propagates the factor of “Iran State” ,and besides, tries to realize its will to put under doubt the state independence of the Azerbaijan Republic. The often calling Azerbaijan as “Baku State” on the press is aimed at humiliating our republic and confusing the thoughts of diaspora members. Today, besides placing his people in our diaspora by every efforts Iran desires to penetrate into supreme, scientific, economic al and other state and non-state organizations in order to achieve mentioned ugly results in the interior of the state. Registering more than 500 iranian citizens at the institutes of Azerbaijan in educational sphere for holding an inquiry warns us that Persian ideology will be more powerful in the future. Above mentioned and other directions are the main course of Iran’s foreign policy about Azerbaijanis and are aimed at striking a crippling blow to our state and diaspora . But we believe that in the result of vigilance and proper efforts of our state and compatriots Iranian factor aimed at weakening and breaking the Azerbaijan diaspora will be successfully rendered.
